Customer Reviews

"From my personal experience, this is the best place to have breakfast in Lake Tahoe. We tried the French toast and scrambled eggs and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, Highly recommended!"

"Here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Easy parking. Avoid parking under the tree as I saw huge pine cones fall, missing a windshield. At 8a, it was not too crowded. Service was attentive and quick. Over medium eggs were perfect and the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy was delicious and filling. Great first time visit. Will be back again the next time I'm in town."

- Ann D.

"A bit pricey but the food is good. Service is a little slow, when you get the food no one checks in until bringing you the check and you can pay at the door. But for basic breakfast staples there are good options."

- Maria K.

"I visited all three Red Hut locations around Lake Tahoe during this trip, and I have to say the quality of service varied significantly. The worst experience by far was at the one located at 229 Kingsbury Grade Rd. The woman who took our order had an annoyingly unpleasant tone and didn't even bother to make eye contact throughout the interaction. She was extremely rude. After placing my order, I still politely said "thank you," but she didn't look at me or acknowledge it at all, she just walked away maybe racist ? That said, I still gave four stars for service overall, because the rest of the staff were genuinely great. I didn't want one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch Everything on the menu here is absolutely delicious and top-notch! Just hope you don't end up being served by the rude waitress."

"We had the country fried steak with eggs and sourdough toast. Coffee was good and food was flavorful. We had a long wait time."

- Gabriela M.

"LOVE coming here for breakfast in small group recommended because they are small. Also weekday is better because there are long waits in the weekends. Very affordable and very delicious food and specials."

- Sasha D.

"They have 5 around Tahoe. Family owned since 1959. Service, food and atmosphere are great!. A must for breakfast."
